Blonde Cool USA

In case you get confused, I color coded the days. Thursday will be red, Friday will be blue, Saturday will be green, Sunday will be yellow, Monday will be pink, and Tuesday will be white

On Thursday morning, mother and I were getting ready to make way for the greyhound station. We got all ready; our luggage and all, even tho we packed the night before. We called a cab, and went in downtown where our greyhound station is. It was almost 9. We had to wait for like 20-30, or was it 30-40? I don’t know, around almost an hour we waited, then we finally got our tickets ripped and got onboard the bus. 10-20 minutes later, the bus started rolling and the bus driver said his bit. Then we were on our way to Erie, PA.

When we got to Erie, we had a 45-minute layover. There was nothin there!!! No restaurants to get sum decent food in. There were only vending machines, and sum games. It was small! I was hungry, but I managed to get through it, for when we got on the next bus, we’d be going to Buffalo, NY, and New York is a big thing, you know, and there was bound to be something there!

As we arrive in Buffalo, almost four hours later, mom looks for a restaurant, sees a sandwich place and doesn’t want anything there, and she does her buzz, while I stay with the luggage. As I sit on the chair with the luggage all up on me, I notice a sign. I noticed to before but never paid much attention. It said “Taki’s Texas Hots”, and an arrow pointing which direction in which it was. When mom came back from the bathroom, I informed her of this, and we went there. It was like a fast food place. I had a grilled cheese with bacon. I don’t know wat mum had, me forget. I think it was a burger. Anyway, when I finished, I got me digi cam out and took a pic of the sign, for remembrance of where we had sum food on our Niagara trip. Oh, and by the way, in case you haven’t figured it out, we had a layover, otherwise we wouldn’t get food, or maybe we’d get sum to go. I don’t know, hehe. Our layover lasted an hour and 45 minutes, if you must know.

After we ate, we came back to the main area and waited for the bus. After we got on it, the luggage unda us, we were ready to make way for Canada! 20 minutes or so being on the road, we were there!!! We were, but we weren’t. We had to go through customs. Everybody on the bus had to get off, bring everything with them and us, even our suitcases unda us, go in the customs building and such. But the thing is, they didn’t check our luggage and such. We showed them our ids and our purpose of being in their country. It was a hassle, and then we went back to the bus, our luggage unda us and our carry-ons. And ten minutes later, we were there; we got off the bus and all that, and got a cab right away. When the cabdriver drove us to our hotel and we paid the man, he gave us back four dollars in Canadian coins. 2-dollar coins to be exact.

When we got our luggage out of the cab and the driver, which he helped us, drove off and we were to check-in. After we checked in, we went in the elevator and up to the second floor. Our room was not at the beginning. We couldn’t find it, then mom went down to the front desk to ask where our room was, and mom said that it was on a different section. We had to go outside, for our room was on an add on thing. It was a hassle, cuz we had to lugg of things all the way to the end. Our room was almost to the end of the add on. We had to lugg our things down a flight of steps, and then up some more steps. We didn’t know wat the hell.

Finally we got settled in to our room. Stayed and rested up a bit. We called my gram to say we made it okay. I talked to her first, for like 5 minutes then mum, around 5 minutes. After almost an hour, we went out for dinner. There was an Applebee’s connected to our hotel. We ate there. But, goodness, were the prices much! But we were kind of tired. So um yeah. After dinner, we went to sight see and such.

We went down Victoria Ave., crossed the street and we were on a road called Clifton Hill. It was the hot spot for tourists. Speaking of tourists, when we were there, we saw lots of Asians. Niagara falls must be a popular spot for them, I dunno. Know this tho, I don’t mean any harm, so if you’re asian, I’m sorry. Anyway, lets get back to wat ima saying.

The whole block was cracking! On one side, there was Ripley’s believe it or not, 2 mini golf’s, sum restaurants, the midway, a gift shop kinda store, and a wax museum. On the other side was a Ripley’s ride, The House of Frankenstein,  some hotels, a superhero arcade, a rain forest café and shop, MGM thing, The Haunted Castle of Dracula, a Haunted house that played the x-files theme, & the Halloween theme, and some restaurants.  If I forgot anything, plz forgive me, but I said most of it. Oh, and at the bottom of the hill, you turn and you’re on a differ street. With more stores, and a hotel. Oh, and at the end of that street there’s this Planet Hollywood restaurant with stars on the ground leading up to it. It had stars hands and names. Anyway, about the day. It was late, we were tired and we came back to our hotel, went in our room, and unpacked a little. The rest of the day we stayed in our room. But I went to get some ice for our drinks that we brought with us. I also took a bubble bath and read my book. I brought Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone with me. I read it a little. I finished reading it a few days ago.

We turn in and wake up early. I set my alarm, my cell phone. Mom woke up before I did, took a shower and woke me up. Actually, I think she woke me up before, so I had time to be awake while she took her shower. After she took her shower, I stepped in to take one. After we got ready, we stepped out for breakfast. We ate at this place called “The Golden Griddle”. It was on the Clifton. A hotel was attached to it. I think it was called Quality Inn or sumthin like that. After we ate, I went back to the hotel and brushed my teeth while mom bought a value pass thing. It took me a while cuz after I brushed me teeth I was looking for something. Mom called me on the cell when I was going out, but forgot something, and came back in the hotel to get it. When I headed out for good, I called mom and said I’d be there, she was like, “what are you doing” and such. I explained, we did our stuff.

We went down to the Falls. I took pics, so did mom. As you can see, I took 2 pix each of the Niagara and the American falls. We took pics of us in them, I think. But that was on the disposable cam. Anyway, after we saw em, we headed back up the Clifton Hill, which by the way on the bottom is the falls and a really beautiful garden. Anyway, we went in a wax museum. It was of the Stars! They had Mike Myers, Adam Sandler, Madonna, Tom Cruise, Nicole Kidman, and Daniel Radcliffe. They had the dinosaurs from Jurassic Park, they had creatures from movies, they even had Dobby, from Harry Potter. These movies were the ones that made them. It was awesome. They also had the spooky characters. I didn’t really like it. I stepped. When we went exited the museum, we came out in a waxed store. Someone at the ticket booth gave us a coupon for a waxed hand, but it was too much, even with the 15% off coupon. It wasn’t worth her time. But the Museum was awesome.

Next on our value pass, we played mini golf. There were two. The Jurassic Park one, and a cosmic one. Everything was in backlights. We did the backlights one. It was rad, but it was kinda hard, for the holes were dark and hard to see a bump. Also, my purse was, um yea. My purse was hard to find, actually. When we were in there, my shirt was lit up. My shows were too! It was cool.

After that we went on this Skyline thing, which took us up, and spinned slowing so we can see it all. From a birds point of view. I took a pic of the American falls and the Niagara, from sky view. It was cool. After that we went in the Midway. For or next two were in there. We went for a ride and a game in Ghost Blasters. We went in this car thing and had guns to shoot at the targets. It was fun! So much fun! And we got points as well! I won, hehe!! I got 210 points while mom got 150 points. She did pretty good tho. After that, we went on our last thing. A 3-D ride. It was cool! Anyway, after that, we played sum skee ball.

After that we went to the gift shops and browsed. I bought some souvenirs and stuff. I bought a back scratcher.  Anyway, after that we headed back to the hotel. We ate sum junk, chips and that, but that’s all we had, and we had it for free. Well, actually, we did pay for it back here in PA. Anyway we rested for a while, then got on our swimming gear and headed down to the pool for a swim. We both went in the pool, but mom didn’t stay in like I did. I’m like a fish. I’d rather say im like a mermaid, for I can swim like one. I guess it’s in my sign. Ima cancer, in other words a damnd crab. Anyway, mom left and I was still in there. I came back around 30 or less minutes later. It was fun. We rested a little more and went out to dinner. We ate at this place called The Pilgrim Restaurant. It was reasonable too. We had spaghetti. It was good.  Before we headed out to dinner, mom saw in the hotel lobby about a tour thing. She saw it before, but now there was a lady. Mom bought a ticket for us to go on the tour. For Saturday, which was the next day. After dinner, we pretty much came back to the hotel. And we stayed in for the night.

The next day was the same routine, but I didn’t shower. I’m not the type to take one every day. Every other day tho. Anyway, I got dressed and mom got ready, we left for breakfast and we came back. I brushed me teeth, and we stayed there until it was time to make way for the tour. We went in the back of our hotel to wait for the bus to pick us up. We had a paper to give to the driver. When the bus did come, we gave the paper to the driver and got on. There were already ppl on the bus. They were from other hotels. Anyway, our first stop was down by the falls. It was misty too! We stayed there for about 20-30 minutes. There was a little shopping center there. I bought a sticker at one of the stores. Whenever it was time to make way again, we went to a chapel. When we were on the bus, the driver was telling us stuff. We leaned, but I don’t remember some of which I have learned. Anyway, the chapel was beautiful. I took a pic of the windows. We stayed there for about 15-20 minutes. There were candles there to light for someone who died, or maybe not in good health. I lit one for gram, and mom lit another for us to be safe. There was a gift shop, too. There were rosemary beads, all different colors. Even red! I looked at the price, 13 buxx. Ewww! I only had around 20-buxx left! Anyway back one the bus. We go into this town to site see and get a bit to eat for lunch.

We were to be back to the bus in 90 minutes. The first restaurant we went in was packed, a full house. So we looked for another one. We ate and walked around the town. There were a lot of carriages. I took a pic of one. The horses looked like ponies tho. Anyway, it was time to make way for three more stops. We were on our way to the Candle Factory. When we got to there, we watched a tape then got to color candlesticks, and keep em. When I did mine, I wrapped it in tissue paper when it cooled off in the water. And now I looked around. I saw these candles for 50 cents each. They were metallic colors. Red, Green, Gold, and Silver. They made me think of Christmas, so I bought them. And I found this gold candlestick for 30 cents, which I bought. It came to $2.30, plus tax, $2.65, I think. They double on tax over there, which sux! Anyway, I went back on the bus after I paid for them and waited til everyone came back on. I think I was the first to be back on the bus. Anyway, 5 minutes later, ppl started to come back on the bus. A few minutes later, we were ready to make way to our next stop: The Chocolate Factory

We got there and sampled some chocolate. Mom bought some. The place was small. As we were, the last stop was a winery. Which was boring for me cuz I’m a year too young to sample the wine. In Canada, 19 is the age. For Americans, and 18 is the age for, uhh…I dunno. And I’m 17. It would have been fun to taste it tho. I went back on the bus, and waited. Mom bought some wine, and at a fair price, too.  Anyway when everyone was good and back on the bus we headed for the hotels, for it was time for the tour to come to an end. When we got back to the hotel we rested. Then we headed out for dinner. We came back to da hotel afterwards and watched Harry Potter. Mom left at the commercial. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, they finally showed it on network TV, which I have, and I don’t have hbo, starz, all those damned channels I’d like to have. Also they had interviews and such from the cast, dammit! I missed most of it, for it started at 7 on a Canadian channel, and on ABC, it started at 8. I saw some interviews, but, BLAH! Mom came back at that time. I decided to bounce afta that, for wat was the point? I wanted to see all the interview things. Dammit, ABC, of all Saturdays, it had to be the 7th, me be away!Anyhow, mom and I went to play some skee ball and see the falls. They put lights on them at night. It wasn’t that special though. We didn’t stay out long after that. So we headed back and watched the remainder of Harry Potter. Our day was pretty much over; we chilled until we went to sleep.

On Sunday, we got up and got ready, went out for breakfast, and again, I came back to brush my teeth. When I came back, mom bought the tickets for what we were to do today. It was kinda like a tour, but a bus just took us places. We didn’t ride the same one every time. The bus we took was called the people mover. Anyway, our first thing was the butterfly Conservatory. It was sooooooooooooo beautiful!!! Butterflies all around, flying, I wanted to have one on my finger. I wanted to touch one, but we weren’t allowed, for it would mess up their wings. It was amazing, and when we left, we went in the gift shop; I bought a butterfly fan, a butterfly ring, and a butterfly magnet. Mom bought me a butterfly hat, and something else. But before we went to the conservatory, we had to wait for the bus. There was a candy shop where we had to wait. I bought some gummy bears and some stickers.

Anyhow, after we hopped on the bus to go to our next thing, moms phone rang. It was me bro, sayin Happy Mother’s Day and what not. We were talking to gram moments ago, telling her the same thing, Mother’s day. Anyway, when we got off the bus, we went on the White Water Walk. Where we walked on this pathway by flowing water. It was nice. Then we went on Maid of the Mist. A boat ride to the falls and back again. It was fun. Misty, and wet. We got to wear these raincoats. It was fun! I met a girl with braces on the Maid of the Mist. Her name was Tracey, and she came with her orchestra. Then we went to Journey Behind the Falls, which was a long way, cuz we had to walk all the way. We could have took the people mover bus, but the lady mom got directions off of told us we could walk! Anyway, I think we were really behind the falls. It wasn’t a tour thing, we just walked amongst ourselves. The waterfalls were flowing and such. Before we went in, we had our picture taken in front of a green screen. And we got yellow raincoats. Maid of the Mist ones were blue. It was cool. When we left the wetness zone, we were able to see our pix. Mom bought em. One for me, one for her. It was 20 buxx. And when we leave something, we always end up in a gift shop. They want us to spend our money, that’s wat it is!

We took the bus back to our place. The Clifton Hill place. And we went back to the hotel to drop off our bags with items we bought and I went swimming while mom stayed in the room. I took some pix of me with me digi cam and swam a while. I got out and took a break from swimming. I laid my towel on the pool floor and layed. I also took a nap. When I realized I doezed, I got up and got ready to leave. There was ppl entering while I exited. After that, I put my clothes back on and rested. After a while we headed out for dinner. We played some skee ball and went to this rock n roll wax museum. Mom took a pic of the rockers. Ozzy Osbourne was the first rock star in there we saw. We even had our picture taken. With Ozzy, the person who worked there took it for us. Anyway, after we did that, we looked around the stores. Mom found some tea and jelly to bring home to gram. Anyway, we didn’t do much. We went back to the hotel around 8:50 and mom watched her Desperate Housewives. The day was over, and we were just chillin til we went to bed.

It was Monday morning, our last day. We woke, dressed and went to breakfast. Then we came back to the hotel and chilled for a while. Then we got into our swimming gear for one last swim. After we were done, we changed and started our for lunch. We ate at Dairy Queen. Got a coupon for it. We bought our drinks at this store and got hot dogs at Dairy Queen and sat down on a bench and ate our lunch. After that we went to the Hershey store to get free samples. We had coupon thingies we found out of a book. Anyway mom got some fudge and I, a milkshake. It was good. Yum. Then we walked in the garden, took some pix and that. We went back up to the hotel and started packing. When we turned on the TV, this movie was on. One of the X-men movies, X2. It was off the chain. Mom thought it was weird and weird. That’s the 2nd one, I saw the 1st one on fox the other day. I was excited about it. Hehe. Anyway, we set out for dinner and then we played skee ball one last time and cashed in our tickets for prizes. We had 195 tickets. We got 2 things of incenses. 100 a piece, but the lady let us slide, for only 5 tickets short. After that, we went back to the hotel and finished packing. After I packed most of my possessions, I took a shower and brushed my teeth. I went to bed, mom was in bed already. Before I went to bed, I packed some things and went to bed.

Tuesday morning, earlier than the other days we got up and got dressed went to breakfast and came back to do a last minute packing. After we were ready, we took our suitcases down one by one, and our bags one by one, and I went in the lobby to get one of them carts and pushed it to our stuff and we loaded it and strolled it to the hotel and took our luggage off and waited for a cab, which mom called before we carried our things. Anyway, the cab came after 10 minutes and we were on our way to the bus station. We waited for about 20 minutes til it came and we were ready to be on our way home. Then we came to the customs place. There was a bus there, tho, a tour bus so we waited til they were gone, then we got our things and went through customs. There was a nice gentleman who carried our things back to the bus. Before that, there was a dog that sniffed the bus and the luggage and then we got back on the bus. When the bus was packed of people and luggage,  we headed for this bridge that led to Buffalo. When we got to the station, we sat down and waited for our next one to come. We had a 40 minute layover. Then we got on our next bus 45 minutes later. It took like 5 minutes to get on the bus. An extra few to get going. In an hour and 30 some minutes, we were in Erie, where we had an hour and 35 minute layover. Again, there wasn’t much there. But I went over and played ms. Pac man. Then I realized after I played, I could of played it for free, I have Ms. Pac Man on gameboy color. And I said to myself, I should play it, for I never touched my gameboy advance. I mean I did touch it, but I didn’t play it once on our trip, so I played it during our layover.

Finally, one more bus to get on, and when we got off, we’d be back home! The bus ride was long tho. Around 3 hours. I was getting bored. I read Harry Potter, I think like 5 or 6 chapters of it I read on the bus, and most of the ride I listened to my music. I also read a chapter on the bus to Erie.  So that’s like 6 or 7 chapters I read that day, plus the ones I read in the hotel. So I was probably in the teens chapters (thir-TEEN, four-TEEN, fif-TEEN, etc.) Anyway, I went through 6 CD’s or so. When we got back home, we got off the bus, got our things and headed for the door all the way down the hallway. As we were walking down the hall, this dude asked us if we needed a ride. He’s a personal cab driver. The car wasn’t yellow, nothing on it, it was a regular car. I was kind of worried he might rip us off, but I was wrong. He helped us with our bags, and drove us home. When we got home, we were in the alley. And from a distance, I think I saw that my bad friend. Which means, we used to be friends, but she didn’t treat me like a friend. She pretty much treated me like a slave. In a way, but lets not dwell on the past which I hate. This ain’t about her. Anyway, she turned down the hill before she saw the car pull up by our house. Anyway, when we got out, he got out and helped us. And I also did a little embarrassing trip as I got out of the car. After he helped us, and mom paid him, he drove off as we opened the door. Gram was home and there were roses on the desk. Me bro sent them for mom on Mother’s Day. Anyway we put our bags down and started talking to gram about our trip. Then I went upstairs to change. I came back down, went to do my buzz and came back up and started to unpack. Most of my clothes were dirty so I took em down into the cellar where our washer and dryer was and put them in the bushel. Then I took my other stuff upstairs. I came back down to get my book bag (me carry-on), and took it upstairs to me room.  I showed gram the stuff I bought and the shirt mom bought for me. Yeah, she bought me a shirt, sorry to inform you, but you know now.

We were home, and that’s all im saying cuz our tiring trip is over. But I’d like to recap for ya…

We chilled out at the Midway and did all fun things, wax museums, skee ball, tours, a garden, stores, Maid of the the Mist, Journey Behind the Falls, The Butterfly Conservatory,  White Water Walk, The Falls, Hershey Store, and a Hill that’s off the chain. I hoped you enjoyed my trip story. And again,  Thursday-red, Friday-blue, Saturday-green, Sunday-yellow, Monday-pink, and Tuesday-white
